The Harvest price change: what changed and what you can do

Updated October 2026 · Sources: Harvest pricing page, BBC News

What changed

Harvest's pricing page now lists per-seat plans plus usage:

The per-unit usage rates aren't on the public pricing page, so the seat price alone doesn't tell you what your bill will be. Agencies with many small clients or projects, and freelancers who send lots of invoices, are the most exposed.

What customers reported

In August 2026 the BBC reported that some Harvest customers saw bills rise by as much as 1500% at renewal:

Annual plans renew throughout the year, so many teams only find out when their own renewal notice arrives.

What you can do

  1. Check your renewal date and your usage in Harvest's billing settings before you renew.
  2. Archive what you don't need. Old projects and clients may count toward usage.
  3. Export your data now while you decide. Reports → Detailed time → All time → Export CSV gives you every entry.
  4. Compare a flat-price tool. If you mostly track time and invoice, you may not need a usage-priced plan at all.
